When you use our seller’s portal, we may collect the following types of data.
A. Seller Information
- Business Details: Name, legal entity type, GSTIN, PAN, CIN, factory information, shipping address, business address, bank details, VRF Data.
- Contact Information: Email, phone number, authorized representatives.
- Product & Inventory Data: Listings, pricing, stock levels, images, master data.
- Transaction Records: Sales, returns, commissions, GST filing and payout details.
B. Customer Information (Director or Proprietor)
- Personal Details: Name, phone number, email, DIN, PAN, Aadhaar.
- Payment Order History: Products listed, payment status, transaction history, returns frequency, complaints and damages.
- Preferences: Dashboard activity, category extension, shipment requests, advertisement requests and so on.
C. Technical Data
- Device & Browsing Data: IP address, browser type, device details, device type, connection type, GPS location to prevent frauds and so on.

Zency does not sell or rent users or sellers data. However, we may share your information with some of our partners to serve you better.
- Logistics Partners: To process deliveries and track shipments via delivery app.
- Payment Providers: For secure transactions (Razorpay, Paytm, CashFree, Google Pay etc.).
- Marketing Partners: For running offers and personalized ads.
- Government Authorities: If required by law for taxation, GST, fraud prevention and so on.
- UIDAI: For Aadhar verification if required for registering you as a seller.
All third-party service providers are contractually obligated to keep data secure and confidential.
Data usage for AI Models Training: Zency may utilize your anonymous data to train our Artificial Intelligence Models to serve you better, provide better analytics, better demand and supply information as the platform improves. In no way your personal information is shared or utilized in any other way.
4. Data Security Measures
Zency takes data security very seriously and implements safeguards for both users and sellers. However, no online service can be 100% secure; thus sellers are requested not to share their passwords, OTP, login information, or payment details with anyone. Zency is committed to providing a safe and secure selling experience to the best of its capacity.
- Encryption: Payment and personal data are encrypted to prevent leaks.
- Secure Login: Two-factor authentication (OTP verification every time app is installed).
- Data Access Control: Only authorized personnel can access sensitive data in an encrypted form, no vital data is shared without anonymity.
- Regular Audits: We conduct regular security checks to prevent breaches.
5. Data Retention Policy
- We may retain sellers and vendors data as long as necessary for payment orders, order processing, returns processing, running ads, compliance, and legal obligations.
- Sellers may request account deletion via email at sellersupport@getzency.com. While it may take some time for your account deletion, some of your data like purchase and sales preferences may be utilized but not shared for training our AI models for better customer experience.
6. User’s Rights & Choices for Data Modification
- Access & Update: Edit your seller’s profile, business address, business information or payment details anytime (may require approval from seller’s admin).
- Marketing Optimization: Unsubscribe from promotional Emails/SMS/Push Notifications for unrelated categories via settings.
- Business Account Deletion: Request permanent deletion of your business account.

7. Cookies & Tracking Preferences
Zency uses cookies in the web app or cross-platform for the following:
- Faster logins & smooth navigation.
- Personalized shopping recommendations.
- Analytics & performance monitoring.
Users can disable cookies via device settings, but some features may not work properly; thus, it is recommended to allow cookies.
8. Third-Party Links & External Sites
Zency and the public platforms like Meta, Twitter (X), LinkedIn, or others may contain links to third-party websites such as collaborations, partner brands, payment gateways, and so on. Zency is not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites. Users are advised to frequently review the privacy policies and terms of these providers if external platforms are using your data in a way that may affect your privacy.
9. Children's Privacy and Minimum Age to Get Registered as Seller
For registering as a Seller on Zency, you must be at least 18 years of age at the time of registration. Persons who are "incompetent to contract" within the meaning of the Indian Contract Act, 1872, including minors and un-discharged insolvents, are not eligible to use our platform or register as a Seller. Only individuals who are 18 years of age or older may use the Zency App and avail of the Services. If you are under 18 years of age and wish to download, install, access, or use Zency, your parents or legal guardian must acknowledge and agree to the Terms of Use and Zency Policies. Should they fail to agree, you must immediately discontinue use. Zency reserves the right to terminate your membership or deny access if it is brought to our notice that you are under the age of 18 years.
10. Updates to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Sellers will be notified via App notification, officially registered email, or SMS. Continuing to use the app, portal, or website means you accept the new policy.
